A recent ‘Exchange of Views’ meeting between Chamber representatives and members of Enniscorthy Municipal Authority proved very beneficial to both parties. Representing the Chamber were Maree Lyng, President, Jimmy Gahan, Development Officer, and Michael Bennett, Director, while Enniscorthy Municipal Authority was represented by Willie Kavanagh, Chairman, Kathleen Codd-Nolan, Vice Chairperson, Liz Hore, Town and District Manager, and Joanne Kehoe, Area Engineer.
Discussion ranged at will over a wide variety of topics and protocols were put in place for dealing with issues which might arise in the future. Chairman Kavanagh offered to meet with Chamber representatives on a monthly basis, before the regular Municipal Authority Meeting, to discuss issues of mutual interest which might arise and this generous on his part was gladly accepted by the Chamber representatives.
Acknowledging the work being done by the Local Authority, President Lyng thanked the Authority for showing such commitment and interest in the development of Enniscorthy while, in turn, the Chairman, Councillor Willie Kavanagh, thanked the Chamber of Commerce for their contribution also.
