The Slaney News celebrates publishing 100th issue

The Enniscorthy-based monthly newspaper, the Slaney News, started publishing in 2010 – a slim 16 pages per issue. Over the years, thanks to the support of hundreds of local advertisers, writers and photographers, it has increased in size to 36 pages per issue with plans to go to 40 pages later this year. It still distributes 10,000 copies per issue using a combination of a professional door-to-door delivery service in Enniscorthy and Bunclody plus a network of 230 outlets in Enniscorthy and surrounding villages where readers can pick up their copy every month.

The paper’s content continues to highlight all that is positive in our community – particularly success stories of all kinds for local individuals, clubs, organisations, businesses, etc as well as promoting local festivals, music and arts events, etc.

The next issue of the Slaney News will be out on 1st August and is the 100th Issue! And being the 100th issue the paper is running a competition to celebrate that fact so any advertiser in either that issue or the following one of 5th Sept will be entered in a draw to win 5 ads of €100 each – a free prize worth €500 in total.

Also, as a thank you to its loyal readers, the paper will be giving away lots of FREE tickets to local concerts, shows, etc on their Facebook page “Slaney News” over the next few weeks so make sure to check that page on a regular basis.

The Slaney News is now looking forward to its next 100 issues and continuing to serve its readers and advertisers well into the future.
