Friends of Wexford General Hospital(FOWGH) was established in 2006. A charitable organisation (No CHY 17610) that acts as a conduit between the public and the hospital to raise funds to ensure that the community served by the hospital benefits to the fullest extent from advances in medical science.
In recent years, the focus has been to fundraise for a much-needed MRI scanner. County Wexford does not have an MRI Scanner. All medical people agree – diagnostics are the way forward, and getting an MRI scanner into Wexford Hospital is a must. Without an MRI, Wexford Hospital becomes a second-grade Hospital, we cannot allow this to happen. The “MRI-Now” project is the major focus of FOWGH.
Mr Colm Neville of the Riverside Park Hotel is the Enniscorthy representative at the FOWGH board and he has teamed up with the Enniscorthy & District Chamber to deliver a 100% fundraising event. Yes, 100% of your money goes to the MRI-Now Project, all banqueting costs will be sponsored on the night by the Riverside Park Hotel.
On Saturday October 28th, the Riverside Park Hotel Enniscorthy will host this unique fundraising ball, a black-tie event for up to 300 guests who can expect a red-carpet arrival with a drinks reception, followed by a four-course meal and dancing til late with “Devine Invention” and DJ.
