On 14th March 2018, Chambers Ireland welcomes the CSO figures which show continued employment growth in the Irish economy in the fourth quarter of 2017.
Chief Executive of Chambers Ireland Ian Talbot said,
“With employment up 3.1% on the same quarter the previous year, these figures illustrate a continuation of the upward trend in employment in the country which is good news for the economy. As unemployment continues to decrease, with figures showing unemployment down 14% in 2017, it is time for the Government to reallocate some of the funding aimed at job creation schemes towards further education and up-skilling in the workplace.
It is also important that we now look at initiatives to expand the workforce such as further improving childcare facilities.”
