Friday, 14th June Networking Lunch with Phil Walker from Cool Planet

    Date: Friday, 7th June
    Time: 12pm - 2pm
Cost: Chamber Members €15 per person, Non-Members €20 per person
Location: Kilcannon Garden Centre, Old Dublin Rd, Blackstoops, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford
Speaker: Phil Walker from Cool Planet
    Topic: Climate Change

    Phil Walker

Phil is an engineer who started his career in the UK shipbuilding industry. Later he was based in South Korea, then China, developing quality and environmental certification businesses for an international certification body.
He now runs the EcoMerit environmental support and certification scheme, which helps Irish SME’s to improve their sustainability while making significant savings in their energy, waste and water costs. There are now more than 100 EcoMerit certified sites across Ireland including five in the Enniscorthy area.
Phil holds a first class honours degree in Naval Architecture; an M.Sc. in Production Technology; a Diploma in Welding Technology; and a Fellowship in Manufacturing Management.

    Climate Change

Dail Eireann has declared a climate emergency in Ireland. Why is that, and what should Irish businesses (and individuals) be doing about it? We all know that climate change is a real threat. You may be surprised to discover how easy it is to start making a difference, and how much money it can save you, while you play your part.
